Creamy Garlic Mushroom Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add vodka and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  5. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, then mix until well combined.
  6. Season with salt and toss the cooked pasta in the sauce.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
